We had sooo much fun playing with our baby chicks!!! It's been a long wait but we finally have baby chicks! :)

Researching Frogs!!

This week, we are writing a class book!!

Last week in Science we studied frogs and their life cycle. This week, in Writing, we are using all that we learned in Science and learning how to research to create an All About Frogs book!

Today, we checked out frog books from the library and used the Chrome books to go to great froggie websites!

Students took notes in their writing notebook. Tomorrow, we will plan out our pages and get started on our final draft for our class book!

Our class LOVED researching! They were so excited to find as much new information as they could! I loved seeing their enthusiasm and engagement.

Book Reviews!!!

For the past couple weeks we have learned about persuasive writing!! We practiced this by writing book reviews! 

Our class picked a book they really liked and then wrote a piece of writing to persuade their reader to check out their book!!

After doing the writing, we decided to make a movie of our book reviews…think Reading Rainbow!!! J
