Cookie Elections!!

This week we learned about being a good citizen!

One thing great citizens do is vote! We learned a little bit about the voting process, filled out voter registration cards and then, signed in to vote! We used google docs to do online voting with ALL of first grade!

The choices were Oreos or Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Chocolate Chip cookies were the big winner! We will have some in class tomorrow to celebrate!! :)

Dress Mrs. Greer!!!

Since we made it to our $60 goal for the fun run, our class brought in silly things for Mrs. Greer to wear!! I loved hearing all their giggles!!!

We are Inventors!!

Last week we learned all about famous inventors. This week, we had a chance to try it ourselves!!

We tried to invent something that would keep our door open! We used all the donated materials from you wonderful parents to put our creativity, teamwork, and problem solving skills to the test!

Field Trip to Safety Town!!

We had such a fun time at safety town yesterday!! I am so happy the weather cooperated so we could enjoy driving the Jeeps!! :)

We learned how to stay safe as drivers, passengers, and pedestrians. 

The kids LOVED driving the Jeeps.....but I think it's good that we have ab out 10 more years until they are really driving! Hehe!!

Thank you to the parents and grandparents who came and helped make our field trip a success!! :)
